2 pm till 7 pm: Christmas Stroll: Main Street and surrounding streets
Check your Stroll Button Numbers for in-store prizes at participating businesses in Deer Lodge. Look out for the flyers in store windows and other businesses and step inside to see if you’ve won a prize. There will be special sales and other events throughout the day.
2 pm till 5 pm: Santa will be at City Hall on Main Street
3:30 pm and 6 pm: Gift Certificate Draw
The draw for local business gift certificates will take place in front of Quilter’s Corner at 3:30 pm. Over $500 in Gift Certificates must be won. The second draw will take place next to the Post Office, after the Lighting of the Community Christmas Tree at 6 pm.

5 pm: The Tina Schowengerdt Memorial Parade of Lights along Main Street. Sponsored by NorthWestern Energy.
Let’s come together in memory of Tina Schowengerdt and ‘Light Up Deer Lodge’. Everyone is invited to take part, individuals and businesses, big or small. No need to register in advance, but for more information please call Dave on 846-2094. The Parade will form on Second Street by NAPA from 4:30 pm and enter Main Street from Cottonwood Ave at 5 pm. It will proceed south along Main Street ending at St. Mary’s where it will disband.
NO THROWING CANDY FROM THE FLOATS, please. Elves will hand out candy during the Parade. Chamber Gift Certificates will be awarded to the TOP 3, handed out to the winners at the Christmas Tree.
6 pm: Lighting of the Community Christmas Tree at the Post Office
The second Draw for Gift Certificates will take place after the tree has been lit by Santa. Win up to $100! YOU MUST HAVE A BUTTON AND BE PRESENT TO WIN!
7:30 pm: Christmas Festival at the Pen Convention Center, 925 Main Street
The Powell County Museum & Arts Foundation will be holding their annual Holiday Celebration at The Pen. Main events start at 7:30 pm with Free hot and cold drinks, door prizes, raffles (including 50/50, liquor basket, etc.) plus Live Music and Dancing. At 9 pm the draw for the winning ticket for the 1968 Mustang Raffle Car will take place.

1 pm till 4 pm: Grant-Kohrs Ranch Holiday Open House
The Kohrs family ranch house will be decorated in late 1880’s Victorian style and open for tours from 1 pm. Items from the Kohr’s family collection will be on display. Activities include a scavenger hunt, holiday crafts, horse drawn wagon rides, Santa, Refreshments, hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows at the Bonfire and more. The open house is free, but canned donations to the Deer Lodge Food Pantry will be welcomed. Call (406) 846-2070
♦ Stroll Buttons
Stroll Buttons are on sale at ACE Hardware, Keystone Drug, Gifts & Floral, Old Prison Museum Gift Shop and Valley Foods. Up to 800 Buttons are available at $2.00 each, and provide over 150 opportunities for the wearer to win Store Prizes and over $500 in Gift Certificates. During the Stroll, button wearers can visit local businesses, and if they find their number matches the number in the store they receive a prize. Numbers can be checked after the Stroll in most businesses, and some merchants draw extra numbers each week in the run up to Christmas, so be sure to visit them often. Don’t forget, button numbers will be called out during the Christmas Stroll on Friday, giving you lots of chances to win Gift Certificates valued up to $100!
♦ Christmas Cash
Interest free loans of up to $2,000 are available from First Security Bank, Peoples Bank of Deer Lodge and Pioneer Federal Savings & Loan. A $15.00 fee is due at the time of application.
Loans are paid back over 10 months starting January 2016.
Customers presenting Christmas Cash for a purchase MUST sign the front of the cash where indicated. Cash may be used at any participating business. Merchants will need to endorse the back of the Cash and deposit with their bank. The Cash is then redeemed with a 3% discount.
Chamber Members can join the program and accept Christmas Cash free of charge. Non-Member Businesses are invited to participate in the Christmas Cash program for a fee of $25, which helps cover the expense of printing the money and advertising.
